Life is not just the passing of time. Life is the collection of experiences and their intensity.
Live from a place of faith, trust, and peace. Stay strong and positive. Spread love and live abundantly.
A happy life must be to a great extent a quiet life, for it is only in an atmosphere of quiet that true joy dare live.
We don’t have to be loud to make an impact. It’s possible to make a difference in our own quiet, unique ways while living a slow, simple, and creative life.
True morality consists not in following the beaten track, but in finding the true path for ourselves, and fearlessly following it.
Thought constitutes the greatness of man. Man is a reed, the feeblest thing in nature, but he is a thinking reed.
It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye. — ‘The Little Prince’
Simplicity is profound but essential for wise-living. Pursue simplicity with wholehearted intention.
Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.
I advise you to say your dream is possible and then overcome all inconveniences, ignore all the hassles and take a running leap through the hoop, even if it is in flames.
If you view all the things that happen to you, both good and bad, as opportunities, then you operate out of a higher level of consciousness.
Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the most wonderful things that will ever happen to us.
We were not born to work for a living but to live our making, and in living our making, we make our living.

| BE TRUE l Community Living — Warm-hearted person and hot pot? What do these two have in common? Well, they both give the warm fuzzies that the mind, body and soul need to survive in a world that can sometimes, be cold and unforgiving. We all need to take time to heal, nourish ourselves and be restored to carry on living.
Do you recall the warm, pleasant sensations you felt when you were emotionally moved by an act of goodwill or love from a warmhearted person? That really counts towards helping us heal and recover from weariness and when we are experiencing painful or difficult emotions, don't you think?
And when two or more people gather around a pot of hot bubbling soup to cook and eat together, and be nourished by a table of sumptuous foods and the warm companionship—it is definitely HYGGE, the Asian Way. Asians, especially the Chinese, Koreans and Japanese have since been indulging in this hygge way of eating (hot pots) for as long as their civilisations were established. The act in itself, encourages and evokes the feelings of wellness and contentment, as well as coziness and comfort that we all need on a constant basis to thrive in life.
Watch and follow along as I prepare my own homemade hot pot soup base and two dipping sauce recipes on this rainy day when life seems kinda harsh, needs redeeming, and calls for a sumptuous hot pot meal to satisfy that weary soul, nourish that worn out body, and lift up that low spirit.
Don't lose heart. Tough times don't last, tough people do. In the meantime, keep your heart warm and stay nourished, so you can find the inner fortitude and gather the physical strength you need to go on until you come out the other side.
Remember, you are made to rise above your circumstances. You're made to soar and thrive!

| BE STILL | Spiritual Living | A Perfect Picture of Steadfastness
Just this past week, I was reminded to remain steadfast — especially in the face of seeming uncertainties. I had been feeling anxious for a couple of weeks and had been losing some sleep even though I knew full well that I shouldn’t be. Then, the word, ‘steadfast’ was unsuspectedly dropped into my spirit, and that instantly stopped me in my track. I had to meditate on the word and to expound on it. I even looked it up in the thesaurus. Its synonyms are ‘constant’, ‘unchanging’, ‘undeviating’, ‘continue in development’...What these words did was affirmed me to keep doing the work I’m doing now — to keep at it, continue developing it, and never to change course and deviate from it. It was the answer I needed. I had considered if I should change plans, put on hold my current work, and start another work instead. This kind of thoughts happens so often to so many of us when we are onto something good but are taking more time than we think it should complete or see results. We start to waver and doubt, and many times we end up ‘abandoning ship’ for another, only to fall into the same cycle again.
These trees outside my window are daily subjected to the elements and tossed to and fro by the invisible tumultuous winds. Still, they embrace it and take it all in their stride with so much poise and grace. They have stayed grounded for decades and will continue to be rooted for centuries to come — A Perfect Picture of Steadfastness. Don’t you think?
P.S.: So many lessons and wisdom we can glean from creation. I’m in awe.
